Week 25

Parent Teacher Conferences were a great time to meet up and set new goals for our students. I appreciated all the thoughtful support and feedback. Together, we will make the remainder of this year the best possible learning experience for the children.

Here's what to expect for next week:

• We will have Dance class on Monday. Please have your child dressed for movement and ready to go barefoot during class.
• Family Friday will be a day for math games. We have already finished our class art project for the silent auction, which is a beautiful framed collection of cultural costumes. 
• We are continuing our work with fractions in Chapter 9. This unit focuses on comparing fractions. The Chapter 8 math test will be returned on Monday along with the Mid Chapter Checkpoint for Chapter 9. 
• We will begin a test preparation in reading next week. The purpose of this unit is to encourage close reading of texts, following directions, and transferring skills learned throughout the school year to the tasks presented in the standardized tests.
