This is a great time to build memories with your child as we move deeper into our culture units. As part of the unit, children will be asked to do a little research about their mother's and father's side of the family. In the next few weeks as we spend more time with our families, help your child with this by encouraging them to talk to senior members of the family and to listen to family stories. Please keep an eye out for the Ancestor Research sheet that was sent home on Wednesday. If your child was not here before the Thanksgiving break, please refer to the picture below to get a sense of the questions your child will write about when they complete the assignment for November 30th.
Here's what else will be happening next week:
- We will take a trip to the Armory on Tuesday. Please have your child dressed for running and playing!
- On Wednesday, third graders will get to build a shelter from another part of the world after studying the culture this shelter belongs to.
- We will have the Chapter 4 Math test on Thursday. This exam will focus on Multiplication facts. Here are the math links to support your child's learning from this week:
- Please keep in mind that Parent Teacher Conferences will take place December 7.
Have an excellent Thanksgiving weekend!
