March 27

From Gwen and Lulu:

We hope you liked our dance performance! We also hope you like the science fair. We watched a video called Bizarre Foods. It was fun at times, and a little weird at times. It was about China foods and it helped with our social studies on China. We had image center again on Thursday. Everyone was happy! We went to the Armory on Tuesday and some of us even ran a mile. We started reading a book called Look What Came from China. It was fun learning what came from China. Did you know that kites and noodles came from China? In our biographies work we resumed our book club books. Everybody was excited to resume our book club books. While that is all that is happening, in our math we started learning about clocks. It’s been fun for us. In our writing we are publishing our essays.

Check back later this weekend for the video of a few highlights of our dance !
Here's what to expect for the upcoming weeks:
  • Next week will be a shortened week due to the beginning of Spring Break. Schools will be closed and we will return on April 13th. The ELA exam will take place on the 14th, 15th and 16th. The State Math test will take place the following week on the  22nd, 23rd and 24th. We have been practicing test taking skills and familiarizing ourselves with the test language. There will be an optional packet to help your child review if you choose to use it. Because it is so close to the vacation, it is important to help your child by keeping them to a consistent schedule so that they return from the vacation refreshed. If you choose not to use the packet, please make time for your child to read so that he/ she keeps up good reading habits.
Have a wonderful weekend!
